Ladakh Adventures
Situated in the far north of the sub-continent, at an altitude over 3500 meters Ladakh, meaning ‘land of high mountain passes’ is often referred to as ‘little Tibet.’ A journey to this region begins with an epic flight over the Himalayas to Leh before you head off to the remote villages of the Indus Valley where you will visit ancient palaces, forts and monasteries in addition to experiencing some of the most breathtaking mountain scenery on the planet.

Itinerary
Day 01 | Arrive in to Delhi where you will be met and transferred to the hotel. | Delhi |
Day 02 | Explore the old and the new, the ancient and the modern that is Delhi, India’s capital. | Delhi |
Day 03 | Transfer to the airport for the flight to Leh. Rest of the day at leisure for acclimatisation. | Leh |
Day 04 | Spend the day exploring Leh Town, a charming Labyrinth of winding streets and quaint bazaars, as well as the surrounding monasteries including Thiksey Gompa and the Shanti Stupa. | Leh |
Day 05 | After breakfast, take the long but scenic drive to Drass. On arrival you will be met by the bear expert and tour leaderwho will take you to the Himalaya Bear Camp where you will stay for the next 3 nights. | Himalayan Brown Bear Camp |
Day 06& 07 | On these two days, take early morning and evening excursions in the form of hikes and from the Himalayan Brown Bear Camp (a homestay in a village located in a bear hotspot) in an attempt to spot the Himalayan Brown Bear. You may also visit the carefully curated border village of Hundarmann and learn about the unsaid stories of past wars& the effect they had on the people & the wildlife. | Himalayan Brown Bear Camp |
Day 08 | After an early breakfast drive back towards Central Ladakh through an area which is home to the Brokpa people, popularly known as the Aryans or Bon people, the original inhabitants of the land. Overnight at Nimmu House for a true Ladakhi experience, one of the last few surviving old style architecture homes. | Nimmu House |
Day 09& 10 | Explore Nimmu. This beautiful town set amongst glacier cut hillsides and apricot orchards, on the banks of the Indus is an ideal place to relax and enjoy your surroundings. It is an ideal spot for a spectacular array of wildlife, that include some of the most varied, majestic, secretive and beautiful species on the planet. | Nimmu House |
Day 11 | After breakfast, leave Nimmu house to head towards the high altitude pass of Taglang La, the gateway to the cold dessert plateau of Changthang. | Tsokar Camp |
Day 12 | Spend the whole exploring. The Tso-Lake is surrounded by Marshlands that host birds like Rudy Shelducks, Bar- headed Geese, Gulls, Terns, the great crested Grebe, Short toed Larks and other migrants that arrive at these banks to breed. Though the main attraction here is the Black Necked Crane. | Tsokar Camp |
Day 13 | After breakfast , check out of the camp to drive towards Tso Moriri, a spectacularly beautiful lake en route to Leh. There is also the opportunity to stop and interact with Chang Pa nomads and their large herds of Pashmina goats & sheep. | Leh |
Day 14 | Fly to Delhi for your onward connections. | Delhi |
